Track Selling as a sales training methodology began more than 60 years ago. During that time, our instructors have received - and appreciated - many notes of gratitude from workshop graduates.
Recently a workshop graduate and affiliate sent us this gratitude note that is representative of many. It's amazing how appreciation is always appreciated.
"Ron, your note about your son made me think of the time when I set a goal to become a CEO, pre-pandemic. I thought I was on track to reach that goal until “the big man with the club” appeared in my path and knocked me down. I got back up but he knocked me down again.
I didn’t reach my CEO goal, but I was determined to get around that big guy. I did, and I found a new, more satisfying and more successful career - becoming an independent affiliate, consultant and contractor.
The decision to select a new branch on my path, different than the one on which I was focused, enabled me to reconnect with Track Selling, Max Sacks, and Roy Chitwood (whose voice I can still recall vividly in my head) in a truly meaningful and transformational way.
And I discovered that my talents and beliefs - including my firm belief that the sales skills I learned from Track Selling were indeed directly transferable to success in fundraising - were shared and valued by others.
Ron and Mike, thank you for being an integral part of my journey around the big guy with the club. You were both instrumental in helping me get back on track at the beginning of my journey. I will always be grateful for knowing you. You are both good people.
And while my current path isn't precisely centered on advancing the Track Selling Institute, please know that you and Track Selling are always with me. I don't exactly know what is at the end of the path or where it is going to take me.
Perhaps we will have a chance to reconnect on this path sometime. I hope so. And boy, I hope I've put that big guy in the rearview mirror for good now!”
Gratefully, David
Suggestion for the week... consider to whom you might send a note of appreciation, then write and send. It will brighten your feeling of self.
Good luck and good selling.
